Our Quality Assurance Department consists of highly skilled and qualified individuals who's job it is to
keep the organization in compliance with all of the regulatory agencies that govern tissue and eye
banking such as the FDA.

The director of the department, Tony Burnett, is certified as a Quality Auditor by the American Quality
Association. He is also Certified as an Eye Bank Technician by the Eye Bank Association of
America and as a Tissue Bank Specialist by the American Association of Tissue Banks.
The Manager of the department, Lisa Simmons, is Certified as a Tissue Bank Specialist.

they orchestrate the many projects of DSI such as Cord Blood and Placental tissue for stem cell
research and many other areas of Medical Research and Education. Through their hard work, Donor
Services of Indiana is the most highly accredited Tissue and Eye Bank in Indiana by having met the
requirements for accreditation by both the American Association of Tissue Banks and the Eye Bank
Association of America.
